Email Developer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Developer – WordPress with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress websites while also supporting responsive HTML/CSS email templates (eDMs). The role requires a balance of front-end development, back-end programming, and web design, along with close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and integrations.
  • Design and code responsive web pages from mockups (Figma/Adobe XD), ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
  • Build and test HTML/CSS email templates (eDMs) optimized for all major email clients and devices.
  • Implement interactive front-end features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Ensure website performance, speed, and security through regular updates, optimizations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content teams to translate business requirements into functional digital solutions.
  • Conduct thorough QA testing for websites and email campaigns to ensure accuracy, usability, and performance.
  • Apply SEO principles and Core Web Vitals optimization to improve search visibility and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across WordPress, email templates, and integrations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies, continuously suggesting improvements for tools, processes, and workflows.

Qualifications

  1. Proficiency in WordPress development – theme customization, plugin usage, and basic PHP/MySQL.
  2. Strong front-end skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  3. Hands-on experience with responsive email development (eDMs) using table-based layouts and inline CSS.
  4. Familiarity with email service providers (ESPs) like Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, or HubSpot.
  5. Knowledge of responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
  6. Experience in website performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals and SEO best practices.
  7. Ability to troubleshoot and debug technical issues in both front-end and back-end environments.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a creative mindset.
  9. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  10. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
