Email Developer – EDM

This role is primarily focused on Email Development (eDMs). You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and optimizing high-performing email campaigns that render flawlessly across devices, browsers, and email clients. In addition, you will support WordPress-related tasks where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and code responsive HTML email templates using table-based layouts and inline CSS.
  • Ensure pixel-perfect rendering across major email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo, etc.).
  • Handle cross-client compatibility issues, especially Outlook-specific challenges.
  • Optimize emails for mobile responsiveness and accessibility standards.
  • Work with ESPs like Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, HubSpot, or similar platforms for deployment.
  • Implement dynamic content, personalization, and segmentation logic where applicable.
  • Conduct end-to-end QA testing (rendering, links, tracking, responsiveness, load time).
  • Ensure proper integration of UTM tracking, links, and campaign performance elements.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to deliverability, formatting, and rendering.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate creatives into functional eDMs.
  • Continuously improve email templates for performance, engagement, and deliverability.

Secondary Responsibilities (Web/WordPress Support)

  • Assist in maintaining and customizing WordPress websites (themes/plugins).
  • Support front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where required.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in HTML email (eDM) development.
  • Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (inline styling), and responsive email frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of email client limitations and rendering behavior.
  • Experience with email testing tools (Litmus, Email on Acid is a plus).
  • Familiarity with ESPs and campaign deployment workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and meet tight deadlines.
